Weekend Snapshot #2

This weekend, my father-in-law came to visit for my husband's birthday. He brought in several books, plus 100 Organ needles, which I've ordered over the past months!

Each of the books was recommended to me, so I'm super excited about them. I've broken all but one needle on my sewing machine since we've moved here, and I can only find industrial needles to buy, so I ordered a bulk package online. (Of course, 100 needles still doesn't take up very much room!)

The items include:

Devotional Classics

Treasuring God in Our Traditions

Doodle Stitching

Organ Needles

The Creative Family

I never know what to share for my weekend snapshot because technically my "weekend" is tuesday/wednesday! in the flickr group I shared a photo I took early sunday afternoon of some foods I've been enjoying lately (I also blogged this at Lovely Duckling). wednesday I'm planning to bake some tea biscuits to enjoy with the black cherry jam I bought on sunday...if I can get a decent shot, I'll share it in the flickr group as well! :D

OOH, I'm going to have to look at that Doodle Stitching book. I've been trying to teach myself how to do hand embroidery-- some of my projects have turned out really cute, but I'm having a hard time thinking of ideas. I'll have to take a look at it!

Whitney: I usually feel like mine is Wednesday & Saturday (market days), so any "weekend" days work :-)

Yummy pictures & foods!

Heatherlady: I'd really recommend Doodle Stitching, I've embroidered for years but the book not only introduced me to stitches I didn't know about, it has SO many inspirational projects, and they're almost all things I want to do!
